LashSense VolumeIntense is SeneGence’s everyday mascara and one of its bestsellers. SeneGence says it resists humidity and smudging, so it’s built for the afternoon panda-eye problem. It also includes what SeneGence calls Capixyl peptide lash conditioning, and the formula is vegan. It’s the mascara I’d point most people to first.

It comes in 5 shades: Black and Black Brown, plus Deep Cobalt, Jewel Jade and Regal Plum for a hint of color. Humidity- and smudge-resistant isn’t the same as waterproof, though. If you cry at every wedding or live somewhere steamy, the waterproof version is the safer bet. If you want length above all, look at FiberExtend.

Black and Black Brown are $35 and the colored shades are $28, for 0.26 fl oz. That’s the same price as the other LashSense mascaras, so pick by what your lashes need, not by cost. Layer it over UnderSense Lash Primer if you want more drama.
