LipSense is the product SeneGence was built on, and it’s still the reason most people find the brand. It isn’t a lipstick. It’s a thin liquid color that you build up in three light layers and seal with gloss. Once it sets, it stays: coffee, lunch, a mask, a kiss goodbye. SeneGence says up to 18 hours, and it’s made to be waterproof and transfer-resistant.
Three thin layers, one swipe of gloss, and you can stop checking your lips in every mirror.
The trade-off is a small learning curve. The first few days you’ll probably put it on too thick, and thick layers are what make it feel dry or flake. Go thin, let each layer dry for a few seconds, and it wears like a stain with a glossy top coat. With about 60 shades on sale, from everyday nudes like Nude Honey to bold reds like Blu-Red, finding “your” color is half the fun.
At $32 for a 0.25 fl oz tube that lasts a long time, it’s worth it if you’re tired of reapplying lipstick all day. If you’d rather have something soft and creamy you never have to think about, keep reading. There’s a better fit below.

How long does LipSense last?
SeneGence says up to 18 hours when it’s applied in three thin layers and sealed with gloss. Oily foods and rubbing your lips shorten it.
Why is my LipSense flaking or peeling?
Usually too many or too-thick layers, dry lips underneath, or not enough gloss. Exfoliate and moisturize lips the night before, go thinner, and refresh the gloss during the day.
Do I have to use the LipSense gloss?
Yes. The gloss seals the color and keeps it comfortable. Without it, LipSense can feel tight and wear unevenly.
How do you take LipSense off?
Use LipSense Ooops! Remover. It’s oil-based, so it breaks the color down without scrubbing.
