LipSense Cream, formerly called HydraMatte, is the easy LipSense. It’s a creamy liquid lip color you put on in one go, with no layering and no gloss needed. SeneGence says it wears up to 6 hours and is waterproof and transfer-resistant. It comes in matte, satin and shine finishes, so you pick the look in the tube instead of building it with gloss.
One step, no gloss, done. The LipSense for mornings when you're already running late.
The trade-off is wear time. Classic LipSense Liquid Lip Color is built for all day; Cream is built for comfort and speed. That makes it a good fit for busy mornings, for anyone who found the three-layer routine fussy, and for days you’d rather touch up at lunch than think about technique. The formula is alcohol- and wax-free, and about 27 shades are on sale, from Nude Honey to Blu-Red.
At $35 for 0.25 fl oz, it’s $3 more than classic LipSense, but there’s no separate gloss to buy. If you want the longest wear possible, go with the original. If you want color that’s quick and comfortable, this is the one I’d reach for first.

SeneGence says up to 6 hours. It’s waterproof and transfer-resistant, but eating and rubbing your lips will shorten it. Plan on a quick touch-up after lunch.
Do you need gloss with LipSense Cream?
No. SeneGence designed it to be worn without gloss. The finish, whether matte, satin or shine, is already built into the shade you pick.
Is LipSense Cream the same as HydraMatte?
Yes. LipSense Cream is the product formerly called HydraMatte. SeneGence now sells it under the Cream name, and it’s still a creamy liquid lip color.
LipSense Cream vs LipSense: which is better?
