The Overnight Lip Mask is SeneGence’s night-time fix for dry, tired lips. It goes on as the very last step before bed and stays on while you sleep. SeneGence says you wake up to softer, smoother, plumper-looking lips. It’s aimed at three things: dryness, the look of lip lines, and lips that seem to have lost a little volume.

Put it on last, go to sleep, and let your lips catch up overnight.

The ingredient list is short and sensible: LIPerfection, which comes from mustard sprout, plus watermelon and shea butter. It isn’t a color and it isn’t a daytime balm, so it won’t replace your gloss. Where it really earns its spot is under long-wear lip color. If LipSense flakes on you, smoother lips the night before usually help.

At $35 for 0.39 oz (11 g), it’s priced like a nice lip product, not a luxury one. If you’d rather not dip a finger in, the version with a silicone applicator is the same formula for $37. If you only need something for chapped lips during the day, the LipSense Moisturizing Lip Balm costs less.
